Honorary Fellowship

Congratulations to Paul Johnson CBE (1985 PPE), who was made a Honorary Fellow of the College in Hilary Term 2023. Paul Johnson is an economist and is currently serving as Director of the Institute for Fiscal Studies. He joined Tim Jenkinson, Professor of Finance, at the latest Keble Conversations event.

Chris Gosden awarded €10m ERC Grant 

A team led by Keble Professorial Fellow Chris Gosden has been awarded a prestigious European Research Council (ERC) Synergy grant of €10.4 million for their project, ‘Horse Power: Interactions between China, Mongolia and the steppe 2000-0 BCE’. Chris Proctor receives ERC Starting Grant 

Keble Engineering Fellow Chris Proctor is one of four researchers at Oxford to have been awarded a major European Research Council (ERC) Starting Grant. He intends to use the grant to create new bioelectronic technologies with a focus on treating neurological disorders such as epilepsy.

Edward Harcourt awarded MBE  

Congratulations to Edward Harcourt, Professorial Fellow in Philosophy, who has been appointed a Member of the Order of the British Empire (MBE) for services to Interdisciplinary Research in the 2023 New Year Honours List.

Farewell to Victoria de Breyne  

Widow of Honorary Fellow Andre de Breyne, generous benefactor to the College during his lifetime, Victoria continued a close association with Keble over many decades and took great pleasure in the endowment of numerous graduate scholarships. She enjoyed her connection with the College, particularly the opportunity to meet students, Fellows and staff.

She will be greatly missed by all who knew her.

A memorial service will be held in the Keble College Chapel on 16 April 2023 at 11.30am.
