Goodbye to Alumni Relations Manager Veronika

Alumni of all ages will be sad to see that Veronika Kovacs will be leaving the College team this summer. Veronika has been our wonderful Alumni Relations Manager for the past six years and has approached the role with dedication and enthusiasm.

She arrived in 2017 full of creativity and ideas as we prepared for the 150th anniversary in 2020. Those ideas became plans, but, just as we were about to deliver a most ambitious events programme, the pandemic struck. Veronika was a tower of strength through those difficult times — organising a memorable 150th Virtual Reunion week, spending months processing Ball ticket refunds, and simply focusing on getting the job done. Veronika also took on the challenge of the post-Covid degree day backlog — hundreds of young alumni had missed out on this important occasion. Ably assisted by Jessica, Daisy and other members of the team, she delivered an unforgettable day for all.

Veronika’s last alumni event was the Summer Dinner on Saturday 1 July — a fitting tribute with over 200 alumni and friends in Hall.

Unsurprisingly, she is moving on in her career and I know many of you will join us in wishing her every success at Christ Church as the Deputy Director of Development (Alumni Relations).
