Congratulations Keble Professorial Fellow Gui-Qiang G Chen, who has been awarded the London Mathematical Society Pólya Prize for his deep research into nonlinear partial differential equations, and in particular his rigorous theoretical analysis of the equations of gas dynamics, especially those involving transonic flows. Recent visitors may have noticed that the iconic Blackhall Road dinosaur graffito, originally painted in the 1970s, was looking worse for wear, prompting some clandestine restoration earlier this summer. Who did it? It remains a mystery, much like the graffito’s exact origins.
Nabila Walji Photography Prize Winner
This term's Nabila Walji Photography Prize was won by Keble student Richard Kuehl (2023 Modern Languages) for his submission: "The more you look, the more you see. This photograph is a reminder that, even in emptiness, beauty is all around us."
