Alex Wilkinson (2022 Economics and Management) has recently been named in this season’s England U20s squad.

Alex has represented the Blues since matriculating in 2022 and she earned her second blue in the 2024 Varsity Match as the Women’s scrum-half. Alex has since been appointed as Blues Captain for the upcoming season. Although the dark blues were beaten 5-10 at Varsity, Alex scored the Oxford try in typical scrum-half style.

Before coming up to Oxford, Alex played at Reading Abbey, taking part in Wasps Centre of Excellence and the England U18s alongside. She played rugby at premiership level for 2 years with Wasps. Being selected for the England U20s squad is a wonderful achievement. We will follow her playing career with interest and wish her every success.

Alex was joined in the recent Rugby Blues squads by Keble student, Tolu Duckworth (2019 Medicine) and Joel Anjorin (2020 Medicine).
